Manager of Automation and AI
About the Role
Lead a team of engineers and analysts to develop and implement advanced automation, application development, and AI solutions that integrate with our Collections platform across the organization. This high-visibility role will work closely with the executive team to design, implement, and scale automation solutions that drive measurable business impact.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute a 2 to 4-year Automation roadmap, leveraging automation to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational costs. This role requires a blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring that Automation and AI-driven solutions align with business objectives.
The Manager will be empowered with resources, executive support, and decision-making authority to drive transformation and will play a key role in shaping the firm's long-term technology strategy.
Essential Job Duties
- Lead a team of software engineers and analysts to develop and implement scalable automations and AI solutions across the organization.
- Oversee hiring and upskilling of talents in the team.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable workflows and automation solutions using Python, other programming languages, and other platforms (Azure technologies, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar technologies).
- Build custom connectors, applications, and integrations using any of the following technologies - SQL, Python, JavaScript, Powershell, React, and C#.
- Hands-on experience or strong understanding of JST CollectMax or similar advanced collection/debt collection platform is required.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical automation and AI solutions.
- Lead end-to-end automation lifecycle: discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, support and related documentation.
- Monitor and optimize automation or AI model performance, handle exceptions, monitor logs through dashboards, and ensures high availability of automation.
- Lead the development of automation best practices, governance, procedures, and reusable components.
- Develops complex algorithms and statistical predictive models by determining analytical approaches and modeling techniques.
- Performs the analysis of both structured and unstructured data to address various complex business challenges.
- Integrates AI/ML models with larger systems, including cloud-based infrastructure, software applications, and data platforms.
- Manage the team to maintain a library of dashboards, monthly reporting to clients, internal reporting to firm managers, and generate production workloads.
- Manage analytics such as forecast analysis, financial analysis, performance analysis, and track portfolio trends.
- Lead data engineering to build & maintain data pipelines and construct queries as applicable.
- Stays up to date with the latest advancements in GenAI, ML, MLOps, LLMOps, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in technology stack.
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or related field.
- Master's degree in quantitative fields such as: Engineering, Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science are required OR experience may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development for automation implementation using various tech stacks.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, JavaScript, React, and C#.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Power Automate, Gen AI, or similar technologies would be a plus.
- Experience with JST CollectMax or similar advanced collection/debt collection platform is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices for automation delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- 2+ years of experience would be a plus in AI/ML engineering, Automation, Data science, software development, or a related field, with a focus on GenAI and ML.
- Strong understanding of advanced mathematics, statistics, programming, data handling, ML algorithms and predictive analytics.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience using tools in at least one cloud computing platform such as Microsoft Azure (preferred) or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with DevOps, containerization (e.g., Docker), and agile development methodologies.

- Demonstrated aptitude in Python with hands-on experience implementing automations and production machine learning systems.
- Skilled with relational databases, programming languages, web app frameworks, libraries, and tools such as SQL, Python, C#, React, Power Automate, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Hugging Face, OpenCV, NLTK, Spacy, LangChain, Prefect, Document Intelligence, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge and understanding of AI and ML fundamentals including classical ML, deep learning techniques, and LLMs.
- Spoken and written fluency in English.
Working Conditions
- Onsite Position - Plantation, Florida.
- Operates no tools, machines or equipment.
- No significant lifting.
- Mondays to Fridays.
- Office Located in Plantation, FL.
- Position: On site role.
- Shift options to choose from: 8am to 5pm, 8:30am to 5:30pm, 9am to 6pm.
