About the role
The Manager of Nursing will oversee a level III NICU at our new, state-of-the-art hospital in Westfield, IN. This is a unique opportunity to initiate a new nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop new partnerships between team members, physicians, and the network, consistent with the values, mission, and vision of Community Health Network.
- Serve as a leader in providing excellent service, clinical standards, and patient satisfaction goals including patient/physician relationships and staff rounding.
- Ensure staff meets departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and level of care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices regarding patient mix, resulting in improved clinical outcomes, and increased patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5 (five) or more years of RN experience is required.
- 3 (three) or more years of management/leadership experience is required.
- 3 (three) or more years of level III NICU experience strongly preferred.
- A 2-year / associate degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A license as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
- Certification required in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role.
- Knowledge and ability to apply Performance Improvement philosophy.
- Ability to manage financial resources, including departmental budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible, and problem-solve.
- Operationalize network goals, objectives, and imperatives.
- Understand the change process.
- Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
