About the role
Arcadis is seeking a Nuclear Quality Manager to join the team in the United States. The Nuclear Quality Manager will provide leadership, maintenance, and oversight of the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS), managing day-to-day activities and reporting directly to the Global Quality Management Systems Director. This role supports work globally and ensures compliance with established nuclear quality standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation, administration, and monitoring of global Quality Management Systems (QMS) governance and Nuclear Quality Management (NQMS) systems.
- Ensure compliance with established requirements, record exceptions, and provide recommendations for changes to Global Quality Leaders.
- Establish, maintain, and assure effective implementation of the NQA-1 Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with the following standards and regulations:
- ASME NQA-1:2008, Nuclear Quality Assurance-1
- ASME NQA-1a:2009, Addenda 1a
- ASME NQA-1 2024
- DOE Order 414.1D, Requirement II – Quality Assurance Program of 10 CFR50, Appendix B
- ISO 17025:2017, General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories
- CSA N286, Management System Requirements for Nuclear Facilities – Canada
- CSA N299, Quality Assurance Program Requirements for the Supply of Items and Services for Nuclear Power Plants – Canada
- ISO 19433:2018, Quality management systems for the nuclear energy sector
- Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) – UK
- In-country governmental, legal, and statutory requirements
- Ensure indoctrination training is relevant, executed, and records of qualification and training are retained.
- Develop the nuclear audit/project plan annually, submit it for review and approval, and revise as necessary.
- Support auditors in internal and external audits.
- Execute a minimum of five quality assurance audits within three years, with at least one annually, to maintain certification.
- Ensure the Internal Audit program complies with requirements, maintains audit competencies, addresses corrective actions, and verifies their effectiveness.
- Develop new Quality Procedures to ensure compliance with changes in Nuclear Standards or client requirements.
- Report in-country Quality KPIs for deviations, audits, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Implement a continuous improvement process.
- Contribute to and support the implementation of a Global Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage Quality resources and coordinate quality staff to support projects.
- Develop Management Review content and chair meetings.

- Influences: Business Leaders, Operations Managers, Project Managers.
- Vetoes: Significant quality risks potentially causing business disruption and reputational damage.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, science, Quality, or Business.
- Quality assurance-related experience, preferably in the nuclear power industry (DOE and DOD facilities).
- 6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems – Requirements knowledge.
- Certified as an Internal Auditor or willing to undergo training.
- ISO 17025:2017 knowledge or willingness to learn.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,461.00 - $165,951.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
