Manager, Membership Recruitment

About the role

The American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Membership Recruitment to join our team. In this role, you will build a prospect pipeline and foster relationships with potential stakeholders with the goal of increasing membership and conference participation. You will also support ASGCT’s overall membership strategy, outreach and sales efforts, and general membership operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ASGCT's membership recruitment strategy to expand participation across key professional segments.
• Contribute to membership recruitment revenue goals through strategic outreach, relationship development, and pipeline management.
• Conduct proactive outreach to prospective members through phone, email, events, and other engagement channels.
• Analyze membership, prospect, and registration trends to identify opportunities for improved conversion, expanded reach, and to strengthen ASGCT’s membership value proposition.
• Maintain membership recruitment-related web content, lead-generation forms, and landing pages.
• Manage and expand the Membership Ambassador Program to support peer-to-peer recruitment.
• Support conference registration revenue goals through targeted outreach and prospect engagement efforts.
• Implement post-event follow-up strategies to convert non-member attendees into active ASGCT members.
• Monitor attendee acquisition performance and recommend strategies to improve conversion and participation rates.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and outreach activity records within the CRM.
• Create and maintain audience segments, reporting tools, IQAs, business objects, and related data resources within iMIS.
• Affiliate with the Member Services Coordinator and Membership Engagement Manager to provide a high level of customer service for members.

Requirements

Preferred Education: 4 Year Degree
