About the role

Ferring is a privately-owned biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing innovative therapies for bladder cancer and other health conditions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking treatments and advance medical knowledge in Uro-Oncology/Bladder Cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Present healthcare professionals and decision makers with accurate, unbiased, balanced and timely answers to unsolicited request for information about bladder cancer
  • Establish scientific and clinical relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers to expand research and educational opportunities in Uro-Oncology/Bladder Cancer
  • Support the development and submission of protocols and budgets for Phase IV trials and Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs)
  • Provide continuing field scientific support and training for sales and Corporate Account Managers (CAMs)
  • Document and forward reports of adverse events to appropriate personnel
  • Proactively report competitive activities and events that can influence the use of product(s)
  • Develop and deliver scientific/educational programs including formulary presentations for managed care and related organizations
  • Aid Medical Affairs and agency personnel in the creation of presentations and slide kits
  • Participate in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings, regional, national, and international meetings as required
  • Process field requests for medical education funding
  • Attend and staff medical information booths at key medical and scientific conferences

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree (D.V.M., M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm .D.) in biological sciences
  • Minimum of 2 years previous MSL experience
  • Experience in Uro-Oncology, Urology, or Oncology (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements as well as clinical trial design and statistics
  • Teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of colleagues
  • Networking skills and the confidence to interact with senior experts on a peer-to-peer level
  • Critical data analysis skills
  • Willingness to keep up to date with scientific literature
  • High level of emotional intelligence to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Represents the organization as a prime field medical contact

Physical Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring 60% or more travel
  • Must be located within the Territory: Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $174,900 to $200,000, with actual amounts determined by merit, competence, performance, and business needs. Additional compensation includes an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
