Manager, Market Risk

The Role

The primary objective of this role is to safeguard the firm’s capital and reputation using risk tools and technology, while delivering outstanding customer service in meeting our clients trading, borrowing and custody needs.

Responsibilities

• Routine market risk analysis
• Detecting deviations and resolving or intensifying issues across all lines of business
• Analyzing and escalating margin and cash accounts triggered by real-time trading, securities/money movement activities and market volatility to mitigate exposure
• Ensuring customer accounts maintain sufficient capital to withstand a wide range of probable and possible market conditions/events
• Maintaining oversight of Correspondent Proprietary trading and allocation accounts
• Monitoring Correspondent Capital Markets trading activity 'trade-away'
• Evaluating real-time exception requests across the Market Access program
• Engaging various risk groups and interested parties, and facilitating discussions and meetings of Market Risk policy
• Improving existing risk reporting and developing new key risk indicators

Requirements

You have a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, 5+ years of business experience within a large-scale financial services environment, Series 7 preferred, shown knowledge of the brokerage business, operations & accounting, deep understanding of margin and option strategies, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and strong investigative, technical, and analytical skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$153,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

Schedule

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
