Manager Manufacturing I

You will lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s Durham Manufacturing Site in North Carolina. The Operations Supervisor oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility.

About the role

This position will work a 12-hour night shift with a "2on-2off-3on" alternating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the floor
• Monitor team and individual performance. Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency
• Support 5S activities across the entire floor
• Establish and communicate production priorities. Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly
• Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts
• Provide team with constructive and timely feedback
• Enforce company and local policies and procedures
• Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Manufacturing experience with 1-2+ years in a leadership role, preferred manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience
• Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment
