About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Company Manager to join our Alternative Investment Management team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all accounting and financial reporting activities for our Management Company entities, requiring strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in the alternative investment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and financial reporting for Management Company entities, including financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee fiscal operations such as the chart of accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and expense allocations (including travel and entertainment).
  • Lead the monthly close cycle, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and collaborate with client finance teams.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders; reconcile cash flows, prepare ad-hoc reports, and support new client onboarding.
  • Contribute to developing financial controls, streamline processes, and work cross-functionally to deliver accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, or ACCA preferred.
  • Over five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within the alternative investment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage (required); familiarity with QuickBooks or other ERP systems such as NetSuite is an advantage.
  • Experience managing and developing accounting teams across multiple entities and locations.

Pay

$88,000 – $115,000, dependent on experience and location.
