Manager, Maintenance

About the role

As the Maintenance Manager, you will provide supervision and leadership for all maintenance and reliability projects in the plant. You will support the safety, daily throughput, quality, and continuous improvement of the plant by overseeing installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company’s equipment and facilities. Your role ensures colleagues have the best physical resources to complete their duties while maintaining a solid understanding of machinery, electrical systems, maintenance processes, and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and guidance in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving equipment issues to ensure timely corrections and sustained operational performance.
• Allocate and manage resources—personnel, tools, and equipment—to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Implement and preserve preventative maintenance programs and procedures to maintain equipment integrity.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and skillsets to meet current and future maintenance demands, anticipating operational challenges.
• Lead the hiring and onboarding process while developing the team’s technical and problem-solving skills for high performance and retention.
• Ensure a well-maintained facility and infrastructure.
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance, conduct formal/documented training, and monitor for compliance.
• Track and manage maintenance costs, aligning spending with budgetary goals while supporting operational needs.
• Support process improvement teams and manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Participate in designing and developing future production capacities.
• Maintain GMP and PPE requirements.
• Participate in and assist with all facility audits and corrective actions resulting from audits.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a high-throughput facility in the Food, Pharmaceutical, Beauty, or similar industry. (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or other Engineering disciplines (Electrical, Chemical, etc.).

• Understanding of PLCs, sensors, MMIs, and machine electronics preferred. (Medium proficiency)
• Ability to track and report on daily activity. (High proficiency)
