About the role
The Clinical Lab Quality Manager oversees laboratory personnel, instrumentation, and supplies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain licenses and manage staff performance
- Ensure quality control and improvement plans
- Collaborate with leadership to meet accreditation requirements such as CLIA, CAP, TJC, OSHA, and AABB
- Manage departmental budgets and resources
- Supervise phlebotomy, microbiology, and pathology staff
- Develop departmental plans aligned with organizational goals
- Ensure safety procedures are followed
Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of clinical laboratory experience
- Two years in leadership
- CLS license
- Knowledge of computer, purchasing, and financial skills
