Manager IT - End User Services

About the role

This position serves as the End User Services Manager for the Nine-Mile Point and Fitzpatrick Clean Energy Centers. The role involves planning and managing resources, finances, scope, and services within the Information Technology department to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel.
• Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.
• Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
• Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
• Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan.
• Maintain current business knowledge and apply technology solutions to deliver business results.
• Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model where applicable.
• Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
• Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards.
• For operations/application maintenance: Plan and manage to defined service level agreements at agreed upon budgets.
• Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of business practices and processes related to role.
• Experience leading and managing IT projects or sub teams and knowledge of IT project management.
• Ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Appropriate technical skills: End User Services.
• PMP certification preferred for specific roles as per guidelines established by the IT Project Management Office.
• Experience leading and managing technical projects and personnel.
