About the role

This position will be a key member of the Group’s investment team, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing real estate investment opportunities, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and M&A.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in developing business strategies, as well as pursuing and evaluating business opportunities.
  • Source and pursue potential investments, including asset and company acquisitions in the US.
  • Perform and execute strategic dispositions by working with external and internal parties and seeing through the entire deal process.
  • Manage the transaction process and ensure that approvals, deal points, consultant reports, and due diligence questionnaires are complete and timely for decision making.
  • Manage end-to-end investment transactions including origination, research, deal evaluation and structuring, financial analysis (including financial modelling), transaction management, and deal negotiation and execution.
  • Perform in-depth analyses on market, industry, competitor, business model, and financial metrics.
  • Conduct commercial and financial due diligence.
  • Manage and lead consultants in technical (property and environmental) due diligence and review materials to ascertain risk factors.
  • Draft investment committee papers and presentations to present investment opportunities to management and investment committee.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Building, Real Estate, Business, Finance, or any related discipline.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant working experience in US and/or regional real estate investments.
  • Resourceful, organized, analytical, and highly proficient in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Independent and able to work with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Good financial product knowledge, business development, and/or development management experience.
  • Experience in Student Housing/Multi-Family properties investment is an advantage.
  • Strong initiative, good business and financial acumen, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
