Manager, Internal Controls

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Internal Controls to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will own key aspects of the internal controls program, with a strong focus on ICFR, SOX or CSOX readiness, and audit coordination. You will partner across the business to evaluate how process changes and new products affect financial reporting risk and control design. The position also blends controls expertise with technology-enabled documentation and automation to strengthen the overall control environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Shape effective controls around existing processes and design frameworks for new products Collaborate with external advisors to develop and maintain the ICFR program Plan and direct testing and walkthroughs against the annual ICFR plan Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and coordinate testing activities Work with internal stakeholders to assess the impact of business decisions on financial processes Develop best-in-class controls documentation and solutions with technology Qualifications 5+ years of experience in internal controls or audit with hands-on ICFR experience under SOX or CSOX Working knowledge of COSO 2013 CPA designation or equivalent Experience in a public company SOX or CSOX control environment Hands-on experience with technology, including AI tools for controls documentation and automation Benefits Top-tier health benefits and life insurance Long-term group savings with employer match 20 vacation days, 4 wellness days, and unlimited sick and mental health days Ability to work outside Canada for up to 90 days per year Supportive employee resource groups for diverse communities Collaborative hybrid work environment with talented colleagues Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
