About the role

Our Financial Services Internal Audit team helps banks and financial institutions strengthen risk management, compliance, and control environments through proactive, technology-enabled audit solutions. Offering co-sourced and outsourced internal audits, IT audits, and compliance reviews, we help organizations identify, assess, and monitor risks effectively. With deep financial services expertise and innovative methodologies, the team enhances governance, strengthens controls, and drives continuous improvement—shifting organizations from reactive to resilient.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert internal audit services with deep banking knowledge to support the third line of defense on a global scale.
  • Assist clients with audit planning, walkthroughs, issue validation, closeouts, reporting, executive presentations, and project management.
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI tools to drive innovation and transformation in internal audit functions.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure audit effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis on critical processes and support clients in issue remediation and control enhancement.
  • Execute Quality Assessments and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen audit performance and outcomes.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for mid- to senior-level client stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, managing expectations, and building trust through consistent delivery and insight.
  • Lead project workstreams or smaller engagements independently, including planning, execution, and reporting, while escalating risks and opportunities to senior leadership as needed.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing regular feedback, technical guidance, and support in developing consulting skills and subject matter expertise.
  • Review and refine deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client objectives, ensuring compliance with firm methodologies and industry standards.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as process improvement, knowledge sharing, and development of tools or templates that enhance team efficiency and client service.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, participating in client meetings, and identifying opportunities for additional services within existing accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Current and valid professional business credential(s), including one or more of the following: CPA, CIA, CRCM, CFA.
  • Prior experience at a Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting or consulting firm.

Pay

New York Salary Range: $111,690 – $175,200. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
