Responsibilities
- Supervises and manages staff.
- Develops, implements, and manages operational goals; monitors performance and profit objectives.
- Manages regulatory audits at the property.
- Creates and maintains effective and efficient schedules, controlling labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Assists in the budget process for the department, ensuring compliance with budget initiatives and reporting concerns to the Executive Director.
- Supports and promotes superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
- Ensures adherence to customer service standards and addresses issues as they arise.
- Leads and develops the Sr. Internal Auditor and/or Internal Auditor.
- Prepares and follows audit programs to conduct audits.
- Performs detail testing of source documents to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Observes and analyzes departmental/Regional procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiencies.
- Develops and implements alternative procedures to enhance operations.
- Improves procedures, operational efficiencies, and compliance.
- Identifies weaknesses during audits and recommends solutions.
- Completes audit files with working papers referenced to the audit programs.
- Liaises with external auditors and gaming regulators to communicate information and resolve problems.
- Maintains relationships with property senior management for feedback and additional support.
- Develops and leads the audit team in report and recommendation creation.
- Maintains audit files, ensuring they contain planning memos, programs, and reports, and follows up on audit recommendations.
- Analyzes data for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance.
- Completes planning for audits and related audit programs.
- Fosters an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere.
- Promotes Bally’s customer-centric culture of superior guest service and long-lasting guest relations.
- Participates in the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or a related field.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and internal auditing.
- Knowledge of gaming industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
