Manager In Training (Full Time) - Chattanooga, TN

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults on departmental and overall store responsibilities, and serves as an ambassador promoting the brand.

Responsibilities

• Affords knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informs management of potential fraud risks.
• Assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence and trains in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Produces and gives extraordinary customer service, including helping customers as they enter the store and handling multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promotes and sells services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures.

Requirements

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
