Manager In Training- Full Time

About the role

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear, consults in establishing action plans, and assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Store Manager in setting and achieving departmental and overall store goals.
• Assist in inventory management, sales, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Oversee all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guide employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers and handling multiple inquiries during peak periods.
• Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear services and merchandise.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures.
• Report any potential fraud risks to management.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and meet overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team player with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education preferred.
