About the role

Manager in Training (MIT) is a training program designed to allow the associate to learn every segment of our business and culture. Once training is successfully completed, the candidate will have an opportunity to run his or her own branch.

Requirements

• Preferably a 4-year BS in Marketing/Sales or Business Degree
• Two years of industry or industry-related experience in Building Materials, Home Building, or Remodeling
• Two years of prior work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about our business
• Excellent customer service and management skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Analytical with problem-solving abilities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ethical and honest
• Dependable with a current state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Legally entitled to work in the United States
• Able to pass a company-required drug test
• Able to read, speak, and write the English language to communicate with vendors, customers, and other branch employees
• Experience in the building material distribution industry, particularly selling residential and commercial roofing products, with demonstrated success in those products to a local contractor base
• Two years prior management experience (preferably in the building material distribution industry)
