Manager Imaging- St. Dominic

Responsibilities

• Leads in recommending, developing, and coordinating the implementation of policies and procedures for all SDH subsidiaries.
• Reviews the utilization and application of these procedures.
• Assists in planning and overseeing departmental activities related to short- and long-term projects.
• Selects equipment and immobilization devices for optimal image production.
• Evaluates radiographic images for diagnostic quality and correct positioning.
• Processes exposed images and oversees technical aspects of radiation safety.
• Ensures that standards for equipment and personnel performance are met according to licensing and regulatory agencies.
• Develops and recommends annual department operating and capital budgets.
• Maintains economic use and procurement of personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Meets with technical and sales representatives to assess and evaluate products and services.
• Contributes to student education and supervision.
• Manages departmental continuous quality improvement programs.
• Promotes participation in multi-disciplinary continuous quality improvement efforts and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory agency and JCAHO guidelines.
• Promotes the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by staying current with the latest trends in the field through participation in relevant seminars and workshops, attending professional conferences, and affiliating with national and state professional organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Sufficient supervisory experience in a radiology department preferred.
• Maintains current Registry and State license.
