Responsibilities
- Train, develop, motivate, and evaluate a competent workforce in cooperation with the management team.
- Overall responsibility to ensure that production targets and turnaround time goals are met.
- Ensure that the team meets safety, quality, and cost control objectives, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Cookordination resources between groups, particularly between the two LCMS teams.
- Provide technical oversight and help with troubleshooting/problem resolution as appropriate for testing in the LCMS group.
- Ensure that equipment and instruments are appropriately maintained, and that lab documentation is well organized and up to date.
- Ensure clear, effective communication across shifts and act as an escalation point for operational and quality concerns.
- Drive adoption of new processes, systems, or organizational changes.
- Provide clear, data driven updates on performance, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in a directly related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework.
- 5 years plus of laboratory experience plus a minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Demonstrated management or supervisory skills in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of standard lab procedures and instrumentation.
- Able to work well in a production team environment with strong organizational skills.
- Consistent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
- Computer skills with laboratory LIMS and instrumentation software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated method development and/or troubleshooting skills with LCMS instrumentation.
- Detail instrumentation knowledge for work in area, including knowledge of instrument software.
- Background/Knowledge in dietary supplement testing.
- Knowledge of NSF/ANSI standards.
- Ability to work Saturday shift.
