Manager II, Config Deployments

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Manager II, Config Deployments to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead an engineering team focused on configuration distribution and service coordination systems that support reliable product delivery at scale. You will partner closely with stakeholders to shape strategy, translate customer needs into an actionable roadmap, and drive efficient execution across the team. The position also calls for a strong people leader who can foster an inclusive, collaborative environment while helping engineers grow and deliver consistently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach an engineering team responsible for configuration distribution and service coordination systems
• Align strategy with stakeholders and translate customer needs into a roadmap
• Drive efficient execution of projects and empower team members to lead
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative team dynamic
• Support the growth and development of team members
• Implement best practices in CI/CD, feature flags, and configuration management
• Leverage AI for planning, technical exploration, and task automation

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on infrastructure
• 1+ years of engineering management experience
• Experience leading teams that enhance developer experience through infrastructure
• Proven track record of delivering consistent results and maintaining efficiency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience using AI to enhance productivity and ensure quality

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $177,185 – $364,795 annually
