About the role
The Manager, HR Communications works out of Abbott Park, IL in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. This is not a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, develops, and executes integrated communication strategies and campaigns that connect employees to our HR benefits and programs and drives awareness, understanding, and adoption.
- Identifies and amplifies employee stories to bring HR benefits and programs to life and demonstrate real-world impact.
- Creates and oversees engaging content across multiple channels (email, intranet, video, talking points, etc.).
- Makes and evaluates communication effectiveness, using insights to continuously improve engagement, reach, and impact.
- Manages relationships with internal and external communication partners (Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, HR personnel, outside contractors, etc.).
- Collaborates closely with a global team of HR communicators to support our programs and benefits worldwide and helps deliver our HR strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, public relations or other communication-related major.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with increasing responsibility in multiple communication roles in corporate or agency setting.
- Experience working with senior management a must.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic counsel as well as tactical excellence in employee communications, executive communications and relationship management a must.
- Prior experience with HR communications, especially with U.S. healthcare benefits, strongly preferred.
- Requires strong project management skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, and multitasking ability.

Pay
The base pay for this position is $99,300.00 – $198,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
