Manager - Hedge Fund Accounting (Fund Administration)

About the role

You’ll manage and train fund accountants, oversee the allocation of daily and monthly activities, and independently handle client relationships to ensure service quality and satisfaction. You’ll also review and occasionally prepare complex monthly client reports, requiring strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships independently, ensuring service quality and satisfaction across all deliverables.
• Train and allocate tasks to fund accountants, overseeing daily, monthly, and annual responsibilities.
• Ensure accurate reporting by preparing financial statements and maintaining books for clients with complex operations.
• Oversee valuations and reconciliations, analyzing investment activity to meet deadlines for investor and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with auditors and tax advisors, validating accounts and supporting year-end audits and tax returns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience and direct client-facing expertise.
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and research skills to identify issues, solve problems, and deliver effective solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines under pressure, and take initiative as a proactive, goal-oriented team player.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building positive client and team relationships.

Pay

The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location, ranging from $88,000 to $120,000.
