Manager, Healthcare AI Revenue Cycle Management

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Manager, Healthcare AI Revenue Cycle Management to join our Provider Modernization Practice. This role involves assessing provider organization patient access and revenue cycle capabilities, leveraging AI tools for efficiency, facilitating project management activities, and managing internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to assessments of provider organization patient access and revenue cycle capabilities through site observations, stakeholder interviews, document reviews, data-driven insights, and process mapping.
• Leverage AI building capabilities to enable revenue cycle and access functions including EHR, CRM, payment management, process automation, mobile experience, and analytic tools.
• Work with clients to design or redesign business processes integrating AI tools for optimized efficiency, incorporating tools and techniques like RPA/IA, while utilizing KPMG methodologies and tools.
• Facilitate program and project management office activities, prepare and review engagement work papers, written briefings, and status reports for healthcare clients, and manage action items and issue/risk logs.
• Conduct research, collect, analyze, synthesize, and develop narratives for project deliverables and presentations for clients and KPMG project team, both independently and collaboratively.
• Manage internal team of engagement resources to achieve desired outcomes, provide mentoring services to peers and staff level resources, and serve as Performance Management Leader for Associates, including annual performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of consulting experience focused on operations performance improvement, systems integration, or equivalent industry experience (front, middle and back office experience preferred).
• Minimum two years of direct supervisory experience, with preference of two to three years of experience managing teams.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; preferred concentrations include Health Care Administration, Business, Management Information Systems, Economics, Industrial Engineering, and Accounting.
• Progressive experience using AI tools in implementing operational improvement plans across all phases of healthcare revenue cycle management and patient access, including financial clearance, scheduling, referral management, billing, follow-up/collections, and vendor management.
• Experience building AI tools to handle, analyze, and evaluate large data sets with advanced analytics and visualization tools; working with project management teams, drafting status reports, tracing issues, monitoring resources, and workflow analysis/design.
• Deep understanding of the intersection of AI capabilities around scheduling/registration functions, financial clearance, clinical documentation, care delivery and care coordination, patient flow/throughput, referral management, clinical/operational/financial analytics, reporting, and key initiatives such as patient experience transformations.
• Proficiency with foundational consulting skills such as analytical, written, and verbal communication; possess appropriate client presence, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage stress and work safely and respectfully with others, exhibit trustworthiness, and safeguard business operations and company reputation.
