Manager, Government Relations – Tax & Trade

Position Summary

The Manager, Government Relations – Tax & Trade will advocate for the company's tax and trade policy interests globally and within industry groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage interactions with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry groups on tax and trade policy matters.
• Support broader Government Relations priorities and strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to protect and promote the company's business interests and growth.
• Monitor and analyze tax and trade regulatory changes in key geographies.
• Assess the impact of regulatory developments on the company's operations and business strategy.
• Implement advocacy strategies to address trade challenges and opportunities.
• Communicate regulatory and legislative developments to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations on government relations activities.
• Engage in industry associations, trade working groups, and coalitions to advance the company's interests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding of regulatory processes and government structures.
• Proactive, decisive, and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects.
• Strong detailed orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to remain objective and use discretion in all situations.
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Resourceful, with a problem-solving aptitude, and ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred 10+ years of related work experience.

Potential Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Washington, DC locality is between $116,472 to $145,591 per year. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonuses, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role-based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer.
