The Manager, Global Marketing Strategy has primary accountability for the marketing strategy for a Commercial Unit (CU), globally. This role works with CU Leadership to develop marketing and communications strategies in support of their business objectives, managing and developing all marketing and communications strategies that reach customers in more than one market in their CU segment. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing the competitive global marketplace, developing innovative approaches, and creating and optimizing full-funnel marketing strategies (both demand generation and lead generation).

This role requires a strong understanding of CSA Group’s business, capabilities, and customer value proposition, as well as the ability to develop effective business relationships with Commercial, Operations, and technical leaders remotely, and with marketing and communications professionals locally and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Global Marketing Strategy Development and Execution (60%)
    • Work closely with Commercial Unit and Operations leaders to understand business goals and determine marketing needs.
    • Develop marketing and communications strategies to address needs and help achieve business goals.
    • Obtain agreement and buy-in into strategies with CU leaders and establish key performance indicators to evaluate success.
    • Collaborate with CU and Operations leaders to incorporate cross-market services into strategy and determine effective marketing approaches.
    • Work with local and regional TIC Marketers to ensure global campaigns address regional needs and are leveraged efficiently.
    • Brief and leverage expertise from Marketing and Communications Centres of Expertise (COE) for tactical plans.
    • Provide briefing, subject matter expertise, and project oversight for each campaign.
    • Evaluate campaign success through post-mortem reviews and KPI analysis on a monthly basis.
    • Develop and manage marketing strategies within a designated budget.
    • Create detailed metrics dashboards using analytics tools for stakeholder communications.
    • Communicate campaign analytics, test results, and implementation decisions with leadership.
  • Stakeholder Relations (30%)
    • Collaborate with CU and Operational leadership to support business objectives, understanding CSA Group’s global capabilities, competition, and customer challenges.
    • Engage with regional and national marketing colleagues to align global campaigns with local goals and growth targets.
    • Work with Marketing and Communications Centres of Expertise to devise impactful campaigns and educate them on CU business objectives.
  • General Management & Leadership (10%)
    • Hire, manage, train, and set clear performance expectations for direct/indirect reports.
    • Establish career development plans and foster a continuous learning culture.
    • Support leadership in reporting and analyzing campaign success.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and mentor staff.
    • Recognize success through the corporate recognition program.
    • Support leadership in developing a collaborative and cohesive team.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in professional services.
  • 3 to 5 years of people management experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams, prioritize conflicting objectives, and make decisions with incomplete information.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, planning, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Executive presence with the ability to advise and gain approval from senior leadership.
  • Proven relationship management ability with stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work hands-on to advance project goals and support business requirements.
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data to develop metrics for decision-making.

Work Environment

  • Regular office environment with in-office work at least 3 days a week.
  • North American travel less than 10% required for meetings.
  • Frequent variation in work schedule with fixed and rotating deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and function under short deadlines.
  • Contact with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Some extended hours may be required to accommodate key project deliverables and time zones.
