Manager, Generative AI Engineer

We’re looking for a hands-on Generative AI Engineer to help design and deliver intelligent agent-based solutions in a fast-moving enterprise environment. This role is a great fit for someone who combines strong software engineering skills with solution architecture thinking and a passion for turning AI concepts into practical business outcomes. Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows that address complex business needsDevelop scalable solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous agentsCreate multi-step AI workflows that connect with enterprise systems, APIs, and business processesPartner with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities and deliver production-ready AI solutionsEvaluate emerging tools and frameworks to improve delivery speed, solution quality, and development efficiencyEnsure solutions are built with enterprise expectations for scalability, security, performance, and maintainabilityHelp shape foundational AI capabilities that can be reused across the organization Skills Experience building and deploying AI agents in enterprise settingsStrong understanding of large language models, prompt engineering, tool calling, memory management, and agent architectureSolid software engineering background with experience in API integration, system design, and application developmentAbility to think strategically about solution design and communicate technical ideas clearlyClient-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to delivering business valueExperience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI FoundryHands-on experience with at least one AI-assisted development platform such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Slingshot Preferred Skills Experience using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or LangSmithFamiliarity with cloud-native AI architecture and MLOps best practicesExperience integrating AI solutions with enterprise data platforms and business applicationsBackground working in financial services or asset management environmentsExperience leading AI solution discussions and presenting architecture recommendations Horizontal is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where different perspectives are valued and everyone has the opportunity to contribute and grow.
