This role supports the Express 4x4 Truck Rental team, which offers flexible and affordable mid- to long-term pick-up truck rentals (½-ton, ¾-ton, and 1-ton) with a commitment to on-time delivery across North America.
About the Role
The Manager of Fleet Remarketing supports Express 4x4 Truck Rental’s remarketing operations by developing an independent nationwide client base of vehicle auctions and uncovering new opportunities to remarket vehicles through prospective accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage all assigned auction functions and performance.
- Respond to sales inquiries within the assigned territory and generate new opportunities to sell or purchase trucks.
- Liquidate inventory through wholesale channels such as dealers, independent auctions, Manheim, ADESA, and online platforms, including current and prospective clients.
- Manage relationships with independent auctions and dealers to build Express’s reputation and grow remarketing efforts.
- Work directly with operations, logistics, accounting, and licensing & title teams to ensure timely fulfillment of accelerated remarketing projects (e.g., pick-ups and vehicle assignments).
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and recommend strategies and procedures as needed.
- Handle direct sales functions and processing, including vehicle staging, flooring/pricing, auction reconditioning, negotiation of offers, arbitration issues, and receipt of sale proceeds (titles and payments).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on company remarketing capabilities for client presentations and calls.
- Build relationships and negotiate with auction personnel to secure optimal vehicle placement.
- Develop relationships with outside sales department personnel to penetrate new markets and secure new clients.
- Optimize the use of dealer-direct and customer-direct websites as part of a broader remarketing strategy.
- Utilize AutoIMS and internal systems (e.g., Power BI) to analyze network, regional, and individual auction performance.
- Provide expert direction on vehicle remarketing issues, researching and determining solutions for problems related to vehicle sales, title issues, and quote discrepancies.
- Maintain and enhance vendor and industry relationships, including through occasional travel.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience in vehicle remarketing, fleet leasing and management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline; relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a valid state driver’s license.
- Required to obtain a Pennsylvania vehicle salesperson license within six months of hire.
Skills
- Understanding of independent vehicle auctions, the full-cycle remarketing process, and related opportunities.
- Familiarity with used/wholesale vehicle values from MMR, Black Book evaluations, etc.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Pay
The hiring range for this role is $85,000–$95,000 USD annually. This role is classified as exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay. It is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on financial and personal performance.
