Manager, Fleet Programs

This role provides leadership for MYR Group's Fleet Programs—telematics, DOT compliance, fleet training, and other initiatives—ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with company operational goals. The Manager of Fleet Programs is a hands-on leader who develops employees, drives accountability, and collaborates across departments to execute Fleet strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop Fleet Program team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish priorities, communicate expectations, and provide regular coaching and feedback to support employee development.
  • Lead Fleet Program teams, including telematics, DOT compliance, fleet training, and future initiatives, ensuring alignment with department objectives.
  • Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for improvement, balancing day-to-day needs with long-term success.
  • Provide leadership during new program implementations and organizational initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, IT, Equipment Managers, and other departments to support Fleet initiatives and promote standardized processes.
  • Assist with reporting, analysis, and problem-solving to support business decisions, especially during high workload periods.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and program effectiveness using data and performance metrics.
  • Recommend practical solutions to enhance efficiency, customer service, and overall Fleet performance while encouraging innovation.
  • Ensure regular and predictable attendance at a Company-designated office or field location.
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and industry-specific professional standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in fleet management, fleet operations, transportation, equipment management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience with responsibility for developing employees and leading teams.
  • Experience leading enterprise Fleet Programs.
  • Working knowledge of fleet operations, compliance, maintenance, and telematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using data and reporting to support operational decisions.
  • Experience with reporting platforms such as Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required; accredited four-year degree in an applicable field preferred (combination of education and experience considered).
  • Professional certification related to fleet management or transportation (e.g., CAFM or CEM) is beneficial.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of GPS Telematics, DOT regulations, commercial fleet operations, and related technologies.

Pay

Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, paid weekly. Range is made in good faith and may be adjusted based on qualifications.
