About the Role

Directs, manages, coordinates, and reviews the work of staff supporting and implementing the PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and API systems. Works closely with IT staff engaged in project management, analysis, applications programming, development, installation, and maintenance for enterprise-wide financial information systems.

Plans and implements inter-departmental communication, conducts staff meetings, sets priorities, and provides resource development. Evaluates required resources, develops job descriptions, recruits, and hires personnel. Oversees all system modules associated with finance, including defining system and user acceptance test procedures, assisting with training and education, documenting support requirements, and recommending support mechanisms.

Manages scheduling for finance/ERP application software implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Performs project management, analysis, maintenance, and support for systems supporting Accounting/Finance. Demonstrates ability to collect and analyze data for financial decision-making, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

Uses GAAP knowledge to work with accounting staff, test, and implement automated/electronic business processes. Accountable for financial electronic data interchange between the facility, banks, vendors, and clearinghouses.

Assists in the implementation of Workday FIN and integration with Workday PAY and Workday SCM. Manages current systems including PeopleSoft, Lawson, and Perceptive, leading a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project management and support for Accounting/Finance systems.

  • Apply GAAP knowledge to test and implement automated business processes.
  • Manage financial electronic data interchange with external partners.
  • Assist in Workday FIN implementation and integration with Workday PAY and SCM.
  • Oversee current systems (PeopleSoft, Lawson, Perceptive) and lead a team of professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role managing accounting and information system professionals (analysts, developers, project managers).
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects spanning multiple departments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Project, Visio, Access).
  • Knowledge of GAAP regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Prior experience managing within an accounting department.
  • Hands-on development and report writing experience.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $58.38 to $80.28 per hour. Compensation decisions consider experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
