ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the coordination of global enterprise-wide financial planning and forecasting processes, including standardization into the operating units.
  • Led the progression of forecasting to a driver-based approach, incorporating both internal and external drivers of business performance.
  • Owning the investment analysis and progress against investment commitments.
  • Drive improvement in rigor of margin analysis to understand effectiveness of pricing, selling programs and SG&A investments.
  • Create ad hoc analytics for the Director FP&A and operating unit executive leaders.
  • Compile benchmarking to understand performance relative to the outside world and competition.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in progressive finance roles.
  • 2-4 years previous experience in an FP&A role.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or distribution environment.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong financial modeling and presentation skills using relevant and modern software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial executive leaders, leverage strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skill, research capabilities and overall business acumen required.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

About the Role

This position supports the global operating unit leadership team by identifying financial drivers and incorporating them into FP&A processes. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the role collaborates with other finance and functional team members, including executive leadership.
