About the role
The Plant Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) oversees finance and accounting activities at the plant level, providing P&L support and financial thought leadership. This role supports regional accounting teams with financial close activities and budgeting, forecasting, and costing.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the financial performance of the Plant P&L, providing insight and analysis of performance drivers.
- Oversee and support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Review and approve all month-end, quarter-end close accruals, journal entries, P&L reconciliations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all Plant audit activities, ensuring full compliance reporting.
- Analyze and report weekly and monthly material yield and loss, volume, labor and expenses.
- Partner with the Plant leadership team to develop, monitor, and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that assess functional performance and identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction.
- Develop data-driven, fact-based information to support decisions enabling productivity measures to reduce overall cost.
- Conduct regular reviews of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy.
- Perform periodic compliance testing to ensure internal/external controls are in place, report and correct deviations to ensure compliance.
- Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling.
- Ensure compliance with all Saputo Corporate policies and procedures.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and employee relations.
- Actively apply the Saputo Values and comply with the Saputo Code of Ethics.
- Provide financial justification and post-audits for Capital expenditures.
Requirements
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably in the food/dairy manufacturing industry, milk accounting a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative/technical discipline is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, superior analytical capability, and excellent verbal and written communications are a must.
- Must be a strong executor who can assist with strategy development at all levels of the organization to drive business performance.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on Finance/Accounting.
- Must be proficient in all MS Office programs, with advanced MS Excel skillset.
- Must possess strong prioritization skills; flexibility and ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to function within a multi-system environment.
Qualifications
Salary Range: 89,695 - $117,725. Salary offers will vary commensurate based on experience, education, skills and training.
