About the role
Spectacle Live is seeking an energetic, organized, and service-driven Manager of Event Operations to oversee the planning and execution of concerts, theatrical performances, comedy shows, community events, and private rentals at the historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Responsibilities
- Advance assigned events from contract execution through final settlement
- Cook up logistics with promoters, touring personnel, renters, and clients
- Develop event timelines, staffing plans, and operational documents
- Lead pre-event production and operations meetings
- Oversee load-ins, event operations, and load-outs
- Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned events
- Ensure venue readiness before, during, and after every event
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and promoters
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the event lifecycle
- Coordinate hospitality requirements
- Resolve client and guest concerns professionally and proactively
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise event staff
- Coordinate staffing for ushers, ticket takers, security, and parking
- Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, service-first culture
- Maintain financial oversight and operational planning
- Identify efficiencies and revenue enhancement opportunities
- Coordinate with Police, Fire, EMS, and public safety partners
- Review emergency action plans and crowd management procedures
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1+ years of event management experience in live entertainment, performing arts, sports, convention centers, or public assembly facilities
- Experience advancing events and coordinating multiple operational departments
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with event settlements and budgeting
- Knowledge of venue operations, crowd management, and public safety practices
- Experience working with promoters, artists, or touring productions
