Manager, Equipment Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4+ existing Equipment Service Engineers
• Coordinate Equipment Service Engineer support requests with Quality Control, Analytical Development, and Analytical Services Lab owners
• Prioritize tasks relating to team’s backlog
• Perform FSE team resource planning (Routine Lab Support, Lab Capital Projects, New Technology Introduction, etc.)
• Liaison with Information Technology and Site Infrastructure management groups for coordination of instrument integration and installation
• Develop training plans for existing teams and coordinate technical training with Corporate Agilent organization
• Manage replacement parts consumption
• Provide regulatory and client audit support by defending maintenance, qualification, and use of lab instruments
• Support existing team with escalation of technical troubleshooting support
• Oversee documentation of service activities and repairs in computerized maintenance management software
• Equipment Service Engineer technology responsibilities include: HPLC systems, including 1260/1290, LCMS, QTOF, and BioInertsGC and GCMSICPMSFlame AAUV-Vis spectrophotometersOligoPro II Capillary Electrophoresis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar
• 5+ years experience as an Agilent Field Service Engineer or similar position
• Experience with the Agilent solutions is required
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
• Desired: Leadership experience as a supervisor/manager
• Agilent provided instrument training

• This job has a full time weekly schedule
• The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $105,280.00 - $164,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits
