Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and direction Enterprise Technology Infrastructure is operating optimally to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage vendor/outsource relationships to support technology needs for OVG operations.
  • Implement and support in developing Global IT standards.
  • Oversee engineering resources planning, project planning and execution, maintenance contracts, and any technology changes.
  • Ensure the technology solutions meet the requirements of the business and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure documentation remains up to date and build continuous improvement into documentation process.
  • Provide point of contact for complex environment issues (4th level escalation).
  • Cook up projects and initiatives with Enterprise Technology leadership.
  • Serves connection point in Enterprise Technology by establishing effective working relationships with the business unit and technology personnel in a way that demonstrates understanding of business problems/goals, technology strategies, issues and priorities.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with business unit executives and stakeholders, helping focus engineering team on satisfying the requirements for products and services.
  • Responsible for the measuring and implementation of company policy and practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact with staff members in an open, honest and positive manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Participates/contributes positively to work/team environment.
  • Continually seeks ways to enhance contribution to the team.
  • Interviews applicants and in doing so, assesses the applicant’s technical ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Makes recommendation for hiring staff.
  • Determines whether an employee should be counseled and/or disciplined and makes recommendations as to the nature of the discipline including the issues of written warnings.
  • Conducts periodic meetings to provide training on proper techniques and services, updates on company news and developments, and guidance and resolution to workplace issues.
  • Prepares staff performance evaluations.
  • Makes recommendations for promotional opportunities when available.
  • Maintains quality of work performed.
  • Maintains status, records, logs and evidence of performed work as appropriate.
  • Manages implementations and coordinates with executive management of vendors, contractors, and consultant organizations supporting the delivery and maintenance of IT systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in a mixed technology global enterprise.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Able to manage time effectively and produce work on schedule.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Awareness of technology trends, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
  • Proven ability to implement technology plans that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience maintaining technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to create business correspondence.
  • Ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast paced environment and to manage the same for multiple direct reports.
  • An ability to present and discuss technical, functional information in a clear and concise way that explains the issues at hand, including presenting options for the team to discuss for problem resolution.
  • Flexible working style, able to quickly adapt to diverse and changing environments and timelines.
  • Stay current and abreast of new technologies and industry trends.
  • Strong background in IT fundamentals (Networking, Storage, M365, email, user management, and automation).
  • Venue technology experience (AV/IPTV/Broadast/Security/Hospitality).
  • Implementation and management of advanced ticketing systems to support engineering and other IT business process.
