For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Manager of Engineering - DevOps to join their team. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of DevOps engineers focusing on performance and career development
  • Own the reliability, performance, and cost management of AWS and Azure environments for SaaS products
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align infrastructure with roadmap goals
  • Set technical direction for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and incident response to drive improvements
  • Implement ITIL-aligned service management practices including on-call support and incident reviews
  • Work with Security to integrate compliance requirements into operational processes
  • Manage FinOps activities by monitoring and optimizing cloud spending

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in infrastructure, systems, or DevOps engineering, including 4+ years in leadership roles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure production workloads and associated services
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and familiarity with CloudFormation or Bicep
  • Proven experience in managing CI/CD pipelines at scale using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language, preferably Python, with knowledge of Bash or PowerShell also acceptable
  • Experience in designing for high availability and disaster recovery on cloud platforms
  • Working knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance frameworks

Pay

$139,000 – $174,000 annually
