Manager, Engineering

Job Summary

Invitation Homes is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of technologists in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to help shape our technology strategy and foster a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.

About the Role

As part of a pioneering industry, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance the resident experience. You will work closely with product owners, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of software systems.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Platform Owners, Quality Assurance, and other teams in an agile environment to build, deploy, and maintain software systems
• Design solutions with a focus on performance and maintainability
• Measure and evaluate features and system metrics to continuously improve user experience and service performance
• Grow and inspire a team of engineers through a combination of coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development
• Cultivate a healthy, collaborative engineering culture that aligns with our values
• Make recommendations on future technical architecture for software, platform, integrations, and tools
• Document technical and integration architectures
• Collaborate to help define and execute team roadmaps

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of professional development experience, and 2+ years of recent experience managing or leading an engineering team
• Experience working in agile development environment
• Deep understanding of software and development engineering principles and concepts
• Deep technical skills in one or more of the following areas: JavaScript development, SQL development, MSSQL, Postgres, AWS, CI/CD, Mulesoft, Salesforce

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000.00 - $208,000.00, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Additional benefits include:

Pay and Schedule

The salary range for this position is: $120,000.00 - $208,000.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
