About the role

The Manager, Employee Relations partners with HR and business leaders to support compliance initiatives, promote positive employee relations, and mitigate organizational risk. This role provides guidance on workforce relations matters, including policy interpretation, investigations, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. The Manager supports the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures while ensuring alignment with applicable employment laws and organizational objectives. This position also assists with organizational change initiatives, HR compliance activities, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations matters, including conducting workplace investigations and interpreting HR policies.
  • Apply employment laws and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Partner with leaders to resolve workplace issues and support business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and HR compliance activities.
  • Analyze and report on HR data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Draft, revise, and deliver HR training or educational resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or related Human Resources role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, interpreting HR policies, and applying employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR compliance requirements, workplace investigations, and employee relations practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive HR experience.
  • Previous lead, project management, or supervisory experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to draft, revise, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and respond professionally in sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across HR and business teams while supporting organizational objectives.

Pay

Pay range: $104,832 – $172,973 (minimum to maximum). Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.
