About the Role
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the emergency department. They supervise assigned personnel and create a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in patient care delivery, supporting the organization's mission and vision. The Nurse Manager leads planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating department functions in collaboration with the Director and staff to ensure quality service. Responsibilities include helping the Director meet JCAHO standards, complying with policies and procedures, promoting teamwork with physicians and healthcare providers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing resources appropriately.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
