Manager, Electrical Engineering
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Pay Range: $160,000 - $195,000
About the role
Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers responsible for designing, developing, verifying, and supporting active implantable medical devices. Guide the architecture, design, and integration of complex electrical hardware systems ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate across functions including clinical, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure holistic product performance. Support product lifecycle management from concept through verification, validation, and post-market activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience developing safety-critical, implantable, or Class III medical devices.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, embedded hardware, EMC, electrical safety, and verification testing.
- Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 14708, ISO 14971, and other applicable medical device standards.
