Job Summary
Under general direction, this role is responsible for managing driver compensation programs that align with the company's goals and adhere to regulatory standards. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution to create compliant structures that enhance business performance through partnership with business leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the documentation and maintenance of driver compensation plans by maximizing efficiency, developing and improving processes, and leading strategic initiatives
- Creates and executes comprehensive training programs focused on compensation design and strategy
- Maintains compensation metrics and provides leadership with insights on best practices, emerging trends, opportunities, and associated costs
- Conducts regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Works closely with Human Resources, Operations, and Recruiting teams to support driver compensation programs
- Serves as a subject matter expert on compensation-related inquiries and provides guidance to managers
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, while also adhering to internal policies
- Supports the resolution of employee relations issues related to compensation programs and policies, and escalates to senior management when necessary
- Hires, leads, motivates, and oversees the training, development, and management of employees to meet team objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with 2-3 years of experience in Compensation, HR Generalist, Finance, or a related field, or military equivalent with 1 year of which being in a team lead or leadership role
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field and 4 years of experience in Compensation, HR Generalist, Finance, or related field, or military equivalent with 1 year of which being in a team lead or leadership role
