Responsibilities
- Strengthen Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) processes across intake, prioritization, dependency team engagement, platform escalation mitigation, and communication, contributing to delivery speed and overall success for all Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) tech initiatives
- Partner with Enterprise LPM and various platform tech teams to enable the efficiency of CFR owned and CFR impacted initiatives
- Represent RPDS as a participant with other enterprise LPMs where there are CFR dependencies
- Support annual investment planning process for CFR, including foreseeing high-level directional capacity needs for each of the trains, and ensuring right level of costing and financials
- Communicate status and metrics on critical RPDS capabilities at regular cadences to CFR stakeholders
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of risk management processes and the associated data and technology systems supporting the customer lifecycle
- Resilience while leading multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, often under high pressure and tight timeframes to drive the enterprise agenda forward
- Elevated growth mentality with big picture thinking, lean startup approach and personal agility
- Validated relationship, dynamic communication skills, effective influencer
- Experience in operating within the Scaled Agile Framework of technology development
- A “driver” personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for excellent collaboration
- High degree of organization, initiative, and accountability
- An ability to solve sophisticated problems and a highly analytical approach
- Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) in operation research, engineering or a related technical field with 1+ year of work experience
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States (the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions)
