Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the controlled production support and life cycle management for applications (COTS & Custom Applications) used by Enterprise Quality Systems within Global Product Development & Supply.
- Primary application initially will be SmartQC.
- Accountable for managing day-to-day operational support, enabling the business to scale while improving key performance indicators impacting their efficiencies and improving overall customer experience.
- Collaborate directly with the business clients, IT Business Partners and other IT functions on delivery of digital capabilities.
- Collaborate with appropriate vendors to ensure all critical system functionality is in working order.
- Supports laboratory computer systems remotely on a worldwide basis.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues in supported systems.
- Provides training to users where necessary.
- Complies with all Computer System Validation requirements and regulations.
- Demonstrate track record of fast paced implementations as well the ability to collaborate with diverse backgrounds of people who are technical as well as business process focused individuals.
- Able to lead medium sized projects and enhancements.
- Able to constantly learn new features and maintain technical competency is required to communicate effectively before leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Computer Science.
- Knowledgeable in laboratory operations, experience with LIMS or SmartQC.
- 5 years’ experience in Laboratory Systems and comfort with both the business and technical processes to answer any questions.
- Strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion for healthcare.
- Able to lead initiatives related to continuous improvement or implementation of new technologies.
- Works independently on most deliverables.
- Participates in decision making and brings a variety of strong views and perspective to achieve team objectives.
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and computer systems validation (CSV).
- Knowledge of Project Management skills, and experience with agile and scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication skill, ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption.
- Experience in working with other system administrators and end users/customers to help configure and develop functions based on business requirements.
- Experience in a laboratory environment; ability to relate to issues faced by laboratory personnel.
- Deep analytical skills and logical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Able to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Looks for challenging opportunities and focus on building strong capabilities.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role: Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
