Manager, Deal Desk
About the role
This role will be based in our offices in either New York, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Deal Desk operations within the North America region, including deal intake, triage, commercial recommendations, contract support, escalations, and post-sale handoffs
- Directly manage a team of Strategists, Sr. Strategists, and Leads; define performance standards, coach for growth, and manage workload effectively
- Collaborate with global Deal Desk leaders to deliver consistent and exceptional partnership to the sales organization
- Define and implement operational strategy for the team and broader group, identifying improvements in how Deal Desk partners with Sales across the end-to-end deal lifecycle
- Define career paths and support talent development across the team, including capacity planning, skill-building, and succession planning
- Scope and operationalize strategic initiatives tied to AI transformation, product adoption, automation, and Deal Desk operating model improvements; translate ambiguous priorities into clear plans with defined ownership, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- Use operational data, case trends, and adoption metrics to identify process improvements and scalable solutions
- Partner with Product, Sales, Pricing, Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to improve seller experience and scale Deal Desk support
- Engage with leadership across all cross-functional teams to ensure operational performance is aligned to business priorities; advocate for Deal Desk's brand as a trusted commercial and operational partner
- Manage day-to-day escalations and present both short-term and long-term solutions to resolve root causes
- Engage directly with clients where appropriate to resolve deal execution issues
- Support change management for new tools, AI-enabled workflows, and process improvements
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Order Management, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, Pricing, or a related commercial operations function; 2+ years of experience either leading people directly, on a project team basis, mentoring, interim managing, or team lead capacity
- Preferred Qualifications: Natural problem-solver: comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to move between operational details and big-picture strategy; uses case trends and business insights to identify improvements and opportunities; proactive and results-oriented: independently seeks information, removes blockers, clarifies ownership, and keeps cross-functional workstreams moving; strong leadership and program management skills: experience mobilizing teams toward a common goal and managing competing priorities; able to structure initiatives, track milestones, and manage risks across cross-functional workstreams; initiative and ownership: acts with limited oversight, balancing multiple priorities; experience leading teams through operational change, including new tools, AI-enabled workflows, or process transformation; effective communicator: distills complex topics into clear, actionable recommendations; presents status, risks, and decisions in an executive-ready way; executive presence: experience working closely with senior leaders to solve challenging business problems; able to credibly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $99,000-$160,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
