For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Manager of Database Administration to join their team. This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of database administrators
- Establish team goals, conduct performance reviews, and manage workload distribution
- Develop and execute database infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level database solutions
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of database systems
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of all database systems
- Own the enterprise disaster recovery strategy for all database systems
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in database administration, with 10+ years focused on Oracle 19c+ administration
- 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2012+ and PostgreSQL
- Expert-level knowledge of PL/SQL coding, debugging, and query optimization
- Deep expertise in database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting tools
- Strong background in Linux system administration and bash scripting
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, and PowerShell scripting
Pay
$139,000 – $174,000 annually
