About the role
The CFR Financial Insights Team is a project-based team committed to providing insightful analytics and informed recommendations to drive profitable growth, with a strong focus on advanced analytics, automation, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide credit and fraud-related analytical support that identifies portfolio trends, customer-level behaviors, and actionable insights to inform strategic decisions across the Credit & Fraud Risk Management organization.
- Perform nuanced analytics to evaluate initiatives spanning multiple businesses, including cost/benefit analyses that quantify revenue uplift, loss reduction, or risk mitigation.
- Develop and present clear, data-driven recommendations to senior Risk and Finance leadership, translating complex analytical findings into business implications.
- Drive forward-looking insights that inform planning, forecasting, and assumption-setting within Risk Finance and broader Corporate Planning.
- Identify and own Generative AI use cases across Risk Finance to enhance insight generation, reporting, and decision support.
- Design and implement GenAI-enabled analytics workflows that improve efficiency, scalability, and analytical capabilities.
- Partner with Data Science and Technology teams to develop and scale innovative solutions, ensuring outputs are actionable, interpretable, and aligned to business needs.
- Apply advanced analytical approaches such as segmentation, scenario analysis, anomaly detection, and test-and-learn frameworks to solve complex business problems.
- Develop and automate recurring analytical and reporting deliverables using Python and SQL, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Build reusable analytical frameworks, pipelines, and tools including scenario tools, automated reporting, and standardized analytics outputs.
- Leverage platforms such as Lumi and Power BI to design interactive dashboards, visualizations, and scalable reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Data Science, and Technology partners to deliver integrated analytical solutions.
- Influence stakeholders across levels by providing clear analytical narratives, strong business context, and well-structured recommendations.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and continuously improving how the team delivers insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: 4+ years of relevant experience in finance, risk analytics, data science, or related analytical roles. BS/MS in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, analysis, and automation.
- Experience applying quantitative techniques such as segmentation, regression, and scenario analysis to generate business insights. Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear business insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or applying Generative AI use cases in analytics, reporting, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with Lumi or large-scale data environments.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Background in financial analytics, credit risk, or forecasting.
- Proven track record of driving automation and analytical modernization.
- Familiarity with financial planning tools such as IBM TM1 / PAW or similar platforms.
