Manager, Dasher & Logistics - Dasher Financial Strategy & Operations
About the Team
The Dasher & Logistics team supports the millions of Dashers who power DoorDash’s marketplace. We’re building the world’s leading last-mile logistics platform — and to succeed, we’ll need to disrupt ourselves along the way. The Dasher Financial team is one such disruption: we are building fintech products that best serve the needs of Dashers and gig workers like them. From instant access to earnings, to innovative bill pay and savings products, to credit-building tools, our goal is to create the financial system of record for Dashers. Today we serve 2M+ monthly active Dashers, and the business has more than doubled in the past year — and we’re still early, launching and scaling zero-to-one products that redefine how Dashers interact with their money.
About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Strategy & Operations to join our Dasher Financial team. This role is about building new fintech bets from the ground up — from testing early hypotheses to scaling into category-defining businesses. As a Manager, you will operate like a GM-in-training: shaping strategy, owning execution, and ultimately building the P&L for a new fintech product line. Early projects may include leading our efforts in lending and credit, but the role will flex to whatever the highest-potential opportunities are for Dasher Financial. This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of fintech innovation inside a scaled platform.
Responsibilities
- Identify new product opportunities, size the market, and build the business case.
- Design and run experiments to validate user demand.
- Own day-to-day execution and work cross-functionally to take ideas from concept to launch.
- Define success metrics and be accountable for business outcomes.
- Scale promising products into sustainable businesses that improve Dashers’ financial health.
Dasher Financial is an ambitious bet — building fintech products for the future of work. As a Manager, you will have end-to-end ownership of a new product line, from incubation to scale. You’ll have the platform and data of DoorDash, but the freedom to build like a startup founder. For someone who aspires to be a GM or startup founder, this is a unique opportunity to learn by doing and build a business from zero to one.
What You’ll Do
- Strategize: Develop the roadmap for new fintech bets and shape how DoorDash serves gig workers financially.
- Own: Take full ownership of a product line, from metrics to operations to user adoption.
- Influence: Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, and Marketing to turn vision into execution.
- Experiment & scale: Launch MVPs, measure user behavior, iterate quickly, and scale the ones that work.
- Grow as a GM: Build the skills to run a full business line — strategy, P&L, operations, and product — within one of DoorDash’s highest-potential growth areas.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high-growth environments (tech, fintech, strategy & ops, consulting, or banking).
- A track record of taking ambiguous problems and turning them into scaled outcomes.
- Ability to take a vague, undefined problem and structure it yourself — without waiting for a framework — and use data to decide what to do (comfortable with SQL/Excel).
- Curiosity and entrepreneurial drive, channeling that into smart bets and clear priorities in zero-to-one environments.
- Flexibility between high-level strategy and ground-level execution, with true ownership of outcomes — making the calls and being accountable for how they turn out, not just supporting the work.
- Active seeking of feedback and quick adjustment — treating learning fast as a competitive advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
