Position Overview
Responsible for oversight and management of all security and loss prevention matters relating to the people, brand, information, property, profitability, product, and other assets within North America.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage physical security programs and operations for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and Canada.
- Manage outsourced physical contract security teams at Atlanta, GA based PCNA Headquarters and Experience Center, and the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles (PECLA) location respectively.
- Manage the PCNA Security Command Center (SCC) located at Atlanta, PCNA Headquarters, which monitors local and remote location CCTV coverage.
- Develop, evaluate, and continuous monitoring and improvement of security processes, policies and standards, technical security systems, emergency procedures.
- Evaluate security systems and potential suppliers, develop security system scope of works, solicit and obtain proposals, evaluate proposals, prepare recommendations and requests for approval to procure appropriate security systems and services.
- Serve as SME and security lead project manager for small and largescale security related projects.
- Coordinate with real estate project construction design teams, general contractors, security system vendors, internal stakeholders and other relevant business partners to ensure implementation of security system scope of works and other physical security requirements.
- Conduct and document in-person security audits and coordinate remote security audits with relevant stakeholders of Porsche NA facilities, employees, contractors, suppliers, and external security providers to ensure appropriate level of protection of Porsche assets, including intellectual property.
- Manage physical security access control systems at each applicable North American and Canadian facilities.
- Manage enterprise-wide CCTV system for applicable North American and Canadian facilities.
- Generate security concepts and support implementation for Porsche events, including but not limited to product photo shoots, auto shows, vehicle exhibitions, and product testing activities.
- Manage physical security for corporate events to include photo shoots, auto shows, vehicle exhibitions, and product testing activities.
- Aid in the development of departmental Business Continuity Plans.
- Ensure compliance with and enforcement of federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Manage and control budget for contract security services and security equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate with and support Facility Management and Workplace Health and Safety Manager on security, safety, and fire and life safety topics.
- Seek to ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrate an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
- Function as Chief Fire Marshall.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management or Criminal Justice preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience managing security operations in a leadership role for a corporate organization required. Fifteen (15) years experience in the security field preferred.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Licensed to carry a legal/concealed firearm.
- Thorough understanding of pertinent laws affecting PCNA business processes and US law concerning law enforcement and investigation.
- Experience with Homeland Security and C-TPAT program requirements is preferred.
- Proven experience in security audit procedures and personnel training methods.
- Experience interacting with US regulatory agencies at all levels.
- Experience safeguarding highly confidential product (preferably including experience with photo shoots and prototypes).
- Must have excellent network of contacts within all levels of security and law enforcement.
- Knowledge of criminal investigation procedures, law enforcement operations, legal system, local/state/federal regulatory agencies, personnel training methods and auditing procedures.
- Experience collaborating with a German company desirable.
- Security clearance from military or government security agencies strongly preferred.
- Frequent Travel required.
Skills

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
