About the role

The Corporate Development Manager is responsible for supporting Agilysys' long-term growth strategy through pricing optimization, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate development initiatives. This role combines financial analysis, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to evaluate business opportunities, drive informed decision-making, and help maximize shareholder value. The position partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to influence key business strategies and initiatives.

As Agilysys continues to expand its market presence and product portfolio, the Corporate Development Manager plays a critical role in identifying and evaluating opportunities that drive sustainable growth. This individual helps shape pricing strategies, supports long-range planning, assesses acquisition opportunities, and provides the analytical insights needed to guide strategic decisions. The role serves as a key bridge between data-driven analysis and business execution, ensuring that growth initiatives align with company objectives and create long-term value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial and strategic analyses to support corporate development initiatives, investments, potential acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  • Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and business cases to support executive decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, and leadership teams to develop, evaluate, and implement pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure pricing recommendations can be effectively executed.
  • Support multi-year planning, forecasting, and strategic business planning processes.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging market opportunities to identify areas for growth.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence activities across functional teams including Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Support merger integration planning and execution to ensure successful realization of business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external advisors, investment bankers, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Strategy Consulting, Accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, pricing initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, or corporate growth initiatives preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building complex financial models and conducting business analysis.
  • Must be willing to complete all license applications, background checks, security checks, and/or any other documentation and provide copies of any identification documents required by any State, Federal, or Tribal governmental agency to maintain compliance with their laws.

Skills

  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.

  • Experience supporting M&A evaluations, due diligence activities, and integration planning.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, financial planning tools, and presentation software.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and deliver concise executive-level insights.
