Job Summary

The Healthcare Contracts & Legal Operations Manager supports the organization by managing the review, drafting, negotiation, administration, and execution of a wide variety of commercial agreements. This role serves as a key business partner to internal stakeholders, helping identify contractual risks, improve contract processes, support legal and compliance initiatives, and assist with corporate governance and records management.

Essential Functions And Tasks

  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including services agreements with healthcare customers, vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, software license agreements, settlement agreements, information security agreements, business associate agreements, and real estate transactions.
  • Assist attorneys with contract analysis, contract disputes, and risk management.
  • Support HR department regarding employment-related contractual matters.
  • Conduct preliminary research on legal issues.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal contract support within the company while maintaining the quality and consistency of contracts across the organization.
  • Manage the company’s contract life cycle management system, including, without limitation, system build out, maintenance, user rights, data entry, and reporting.
  • Aid with corporate governance related items, including, without limitation, corporate filings, annual reports, permits, licensing, and corporate resolutions.
  • Aid the company, as needed, with other legal and compliance related tasks.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, healthcare contracting, compliance, or a related function.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial agreements in a healthcare, healthcare services, healthcare technology, or revenue cycle management environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, contract administration, risk assessment, and document management processes.
  • Experience with corporate governance.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-related agreements, including Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), confidentiality agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience and general proficiency working with AI tools and LLMs, including, without limitation, Claude and Copilot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), healthcare services, legal operations, compliance, or corporate contracting experience strongly preferred.

Compensation

Base compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
